5 tips to be a proactive parent on calming your child- from tantrum to tranquility:
1- Respond to the possible meltdown immediately
2- Ask yourself why they could possibly be behaving the way they are. Could the kids be hungry, angry, lonely, tired?
3- Connection builds the brain, make sure to calm your child and then try to teach the desired behavior.
4- Do not ignore tantrums, connecting with your child while she is going through a meltdown fosters security in her attachment.
5- Keep in mind, sometimes bad behavior happens and there is no amount of proactivity that can prevent it.
